Troy and Abed's new apartment!"
|
— Troy and Abed |
Apartment number 303 at 3624 Dresser Avenue has been home to various members of the study group over the years. Currently living there are Abed Nadir, Annie Edison and Britta Perry.
In their third year at Greendale Community College, Troy and Abed announce to the study group that they have decided to move in together. Shortly after mocing into the spacious apartment they throw a housewarming party. At the party, Abed invites Annie to move in with them, to which she eagerly agrees. In Season 5, Troy moves out after embarking on a round-the-world trip on Pierce's boat, the Childish Tycoon. Annie and Abed are unsuccessful in their attempts at finding a new housemate. However, the following year (Season 6), they invite Britta to move in with them after she finds herself homeless.
The apartment's first appearance was in the Season Three episode "Remedial Chaos Theory" and makes frequent appearances afterwards throughout the rest of the season.
History
In the "Season One" episode "Pascal's Triangle Revisited", Troy's father kicks him out of the house, and he tries to get Abed to let him move into his dorm. Abed refuses, and explains that in this point in their relationship such a move would be "jumping the shark"; them constantly being together could cause them to end up hating each other. Troy eventually understands his reasoning and accepts a previous offer from Pierce to move into his mansion. He stays throughout "Season Two" although he still remains close friends with Abed even staying over in his dorm one night and building a blanket fort. It's assumed after the events of the finale "For a Few Paintballs More" and Pierce's quitting of the study group that he moved out of the mansion between then and the "Season Three" premiere "Biology 101". It is at the first study group meeting of the year that he and Abed announce that they will be moving in together.
