Many of the episodes of Community are in themselves grand scale references to pop culture. The characters have absurd adventures; the plotlines of the episode follow tropes or other well known story devices. Many of these episodes are treated more like 20 minute movies rather than sitcom chapters. Others are a tongue-in-cheek reflection of sitcoms. In the quote above, Abed, is being meta and is stating his hope for more of such episodes or "escapades" for season 2. The following is a list:
