“
Pretty good taco meat, I wonder how Dean Pelton scored this sweet spread.

Pierce, "Epidemiology".

Classified Phoenix were presumably military rations from an army surplus store bought by Dean Pelton for a Halloween party at Greendale in 2010. He purchased the tin foil-covered supplies, ignoring the obvious Bio-Hazard warning label along with a diagram on the cover depicting a person biting someone. What he assumed was just taco meat turned out to be something far deadlier. "Classified Phoenix's" first appearance was in the Season Two episode "Epidemiology".

History[]

In the study group's second year at Greendale Community College, Dean Pelton throws a large Halloween bash at the school library. In order to keep costs down, he skimps on some of the party supplies like using his own MP3 player to provide the music. He also cut corners on the catering by using rations purchased from an army surplus store. One of the rations Pelton mistook for taco meat was mysteriously labeled "Classified Phoenix" and ended up causing any student who ate it to get sick. When Dean Pelton contacted the store manager about the taco meat he claimed not to know anything regarding it. Dean Pelton further described the item and read the words written on the label: ECHO-TANGO-X-RAY-9-9-7. His call was then intercepted by378q4) ($#@!~g9 gvq8v3b89339#%&()+!2bov8b8&%$vboa*^#@schca
