During the study group's second year at Greendale, Britta becomes friends with a female student named Page. Although both of the women were straight, they believed the other to be a lesbian. The two later agreed to attend the Valentine's Day dance together. Upon arriving at the dance, Britta and Page encounter what they assumed was ridicule of their alternative lifestyle. The two then decided to make a statement about bigotry and went to the dance floor as the song "Fancy Footwork" was playing and started dancing suggestively. Meanwhile, Pierce and his drug induced hallucination Tiny Man where dancing along to the song as well. The song "Fancy Footwork" is first heard in the Season Two episode "Early 21st Century Romanticism". It is performed by the the Canadian Electrofunk band Chromeo.
