Paintball pistols were the weapon of choice at the start of the 2011 annual paintball tournament held at Greendale. These revolvers were chosen specifically to match the western themed end of the year picnic. The single action triggered firearms had limited ammo in comparison to their semi-automatic predecessor paintball guns from the 2010 contest. However, they made up for this with their precision and deadlier accuracy. The paintball pistols were first seen in the Season Two episodes "A Fistful of Paintballs" and "For A Few Paintballs More".

History[]

In the study group's second year together at Greendale, another paintball game was held at school. This time in keeping with the western theme end of the year picnic, they were given paintball pistols along with holsters and ammo for the competition. The weapons, along with the $100,000 prize money, were provided by the picnic sponsor Pistol Patty's Cowboy Creamery. Unlike the previous competition, the ammunition was more limited and at a premium. Pierce would later use this to his advantage and managed to stockpile it. He did this by occupying the restroom in the student lounge and demanding other student's paintball ammo for use of the facilities.

After announcing the $100,000 prize money, Patty hands out the paintball pistols.
He used this to create a safe haven from the competition in the cafeteria he called "Fort Hawthorne". He began employing a number of students to make up a security force for the place. In order to enter the Fort, visitors had to surrender their paintball pistols and ammo. After reuniting with his study group, he filled them in on a plan he had to acquire Dean Pelton's confiscated paintball equipment from last year's tournament. Upon getting the paraphernalia they discovered some truths. Not only had Pierce betrayed them but also there was a conspiracy behind this years contest. With these revelations and the arrival of an army of City College Storm Troopers armed with more powerful paintball weapons, the pistols were supplemented with paintball guns the group found in Dean Pelton's cache ("A Fistful of Paintballs").

Trivia[]

WinGun[]

The paintball pistols seen on the Season Two finale were WG 701 air soft revolvers manufactured by WinGun. They were created to shoot BB air pellets but are capable of also firing specially made paintball ammunition. However, the production team on Community took certain liberties with the paintball ammunition seen on the show as they were not the correct size. According to a statement online from a representative of AirSplat.com:

A film prop company purchased them from us and used them for the show. I believe they switched the impact scenes with standard sized paintballs, no airsoft bb sized paintball would make marks that large. You can fire 6mm paintballs through them, although not without the occasional burst in the barrel (1/20).
