In the Season One episode "Social Psychology", Britta had a brief relationship with Vaughn Miller. It ends after he discovers that she let a love poem he wrote for her be seen by the study group. Humiliated, he angrily ends things between them. Sometime later in "Home Economics", Britta has to deal with the fallout from the breakup which comes in the form of a song.
A brief performance of the song by "No Worries" can be seen in the original broadcast and DVD versions of the episode. An extended cut of was released online at the official NBC Community site; it has since been taken down but can be seen above.
"Gettin' Rid of Britta" is track number three on the official Community soundtrack. The sequel to the song, "Pierce, You're a B" appears on track number 4.
