In the Season Three episode "Studies in Modern Movement", Dean Pelton blackmails Jeff into spending a day with him at the mall. Besides forcing him to take him to lunch at Señor Kevin's, he also makes Jeff karaoke with him. The song he chooses is Seal's hit single "Kiss from a Rose. While the two are performing a duet of the song, Britta and Shirley are driving to Troy and Abed's apartment listening to a hitchhiker they picked up named Jesus playing a song he wrote called "Jesus Loves Marijuana". At the same time, Pierce is back at Annie's apartment hallucinating that he is playing the piano due to accidentally inhaling paint fumes.

Trivia

Seal is briefly mentioned in the Season One epsiode "Football, Feminism and You". Pierce and Dean Pelton are trying to redesign the school mascot to be more politcally correct and not have any recognizable racial features including skin color. In order to find a more nuetral tone they create a color wheel for that purpose which the Dean later describes to Jeff as going from the color of Seal's skin to the color of his teeth.
