In the Study group's second year together at Greendale, Britta befriended a fellow student named Page that she believes to be a lesbian. Page was actually straight, however, but believed Britta to be a lesbian. They both attended the Valentine's dance together wanting to impress the other students with how cool and progressive they were. Page's first and only appearance was in the Season Two episode "Early 21st Century Romanticism". Page was portrayed by actress Brit Marling.

Character history[]

On Valentines day 2011, Britta began bragging to the study group about her friendship with Page making a big deal out of the fact that she's hanging out with a lesbian. Later in the student lounge, Paige and Britta decided to go to the Valentine's day dance together. While they were talking, Annie and Pages friend Claire learned from each other that neither girl was actually gay but decided to keep it from them. Once at the dance, they began to misinterpret everyone's reactions to them showing up together as intolerance and bigotry against lesbians. They then decide to make a bold statement to rile up the haters they thought were in attendance.

Page and Britta walked hand in hand towards the dance floor and then began to make a spectacle of themselves by dancing provocatively together in order. They both decided to take it once step further and kiss much to the shock of Annie and Claire. As they awkwardly made out on the dance floor, they both reveal to each other that they were not gay. Embarrassed and angry, they both confronted each afterwards and Britta hypocritically tells Paige she was just hanging out with her because she thought she was gay. Paige tells her she was doing the exact same thing and calls her the worst. Before storming off she adds that she never thought Britta was cool, just that she was a lesbian.
