TROY AND ABED LOOK-A-LIKES
These Troy and Abed doppelgängers were campus security who worked at Greendale during the study group's first year together. Troy and Abed run afoul of them and both duos are shocked at their similarities. The doppelgängers first appearance was in the end tag of the Season One episode "Football, Feminism and You". They are portrayed by as Sashi Bommakanty as Abed's look-a-like and Bertrand Roberson Jr. as Troy's look-a-like.
During their freshmen year at community college, Troy and Abed snuck into the administrations office and started making prank announcements on the PA system. They were then interrupted by the sudden appearance of campus security. Everyone froze after both sides noticed the uncanny resemblance they had to each other("Football, Feminism and You"). The duo was next seen at the end of the 2010 school year dealing with an altercation between Ben Chang and Jeff outside in the parking lot. The recently fired and now disgruntled former teacher Ben Chang was taking his anger out on Jeff's Lexus by beating it with his keytar. He assumed that Jeff was the one who revealed he had no teaching credentials and cost Chang his job. Jeff arrived to stop him and the two struggle over the keytar while on top of the car. The campus security duo warned them to break it up. When they refuse, the security guards fire their tasers at both of them causing Jeff and Chang to fall off the Lexus onto the ground.
- The doppelgängers (under the names Troy-look-a-like and Abed-look-a-like) are erroneously credited as being in the Season One episode "Advanced Criminal Law".
- A similar scene to the tasing of Chang and Jeff in "English as a Second Language" was done in the Season Two episode "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas" except this time it was done in stop-motion animation and it was Abed that got tased by the security guards. The guards themselves did not appear to be based on the doppelgängers.
